The Sangels
The Sangels is a classic vocal jazz project featuring the husband and wife team of Ola Milena and Farley Sangels performing timeless classic jazz standards. Standing firmly in the jazz tradition of such artists as Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Billie Holliday and Chet Baker, The Sangels bring classic jazz to the modern audience with fresh and tasteful interpretations of the most well loved jazz repertoire.
The Sangels’ debut album “L.O.V.E. (Jazz Classics for Lovers)” is a collection of some of jazz music’s most loved songs, centered on the timeless power of love.
Featuring classics like L.O.V.E., My Funny Valentine, Over the Rainbow, My One and Only Love and
What a Wonderful World, this album is filled with positive energy, classic taste and high quality musicianship.
In addition to the heavenly vocals of Ola Sangels, and flugelhorn and trumpet virtuoso Farley Sangels, the album features some of Hong Kong’s finest jazz talent, including guitarists Geoff King Luk of Hong Kong and
Englishman Robin Banerjee, American bassist Jimmy Pittman, Italian drummer Davide Pasqualini, Colombian percussionist Alonso Gonzalez and Hong Kong keyboardist Bowen Li.
